About Mrs. Kendall Giglio
Mrs. Giglio
Mrs. Giglio couldn’t be more excited to be entering her second year in first grade at St. Mark. She graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, a minor in STEM Education, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. For this reason, Mrs. Giglio loves to integrate art into her classroom and teach students of all ages how to block code. After experiencing a wide variety of classrooms in San Francisco (her favorite city), Mrs. Giglio moved down to LA to be closer to family.
Mrs. Giglio is committed to creating a space where all students feel safe, supported and challenged. She emphasizes having a growth mindset, which teaches students to embrace challenges, to understand that failures lead to growth, and to develop a curiosity for the world around them. Mrs. Giglio values building personal relationships with her students and loves that each school day brings new opportunities to explore and create. What she loves most about first grade is being on-the-go and tuning into silly energy.
Because Mrs. Giglio grew up in Orange County, she is ecstatic to be teaching so close to the beach. Outside of the classroom, you might find her taking her cat (yes, cat!) Dexter on a walk, crocheting, trying a new recipe with her husband, or watching a true crime documentary.
