About Mr. De León
Mr. De León is thrilled to be joining St. Mark School as a Music Teacher and Choir Director. He has taught TK-8th grade music in Catholic schools for seven years. He is a composer of Catholic liturgical music with the Oregon Catholic Press and a member of the Liturgical Commission of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Mr. De León holds a Bachelor of Music from Cal State University Long Beach and is currently studying a Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology at Loyola Marymount University.
As an enthusiastic advocate of music education and the Catholic faith, he is excited to bring his passion for music, ministry approach to teaching, and commitment to excellence to St. Mark School. He finds great joy in facilitating learning experiences that lead his students to success. Mr. De León loves to deliver effective music lessons that uncover curricular content, but also seek to educate students through music that is fun, culturally diverse, catechetical and nourishing to their faith.
