Father Paul Spellman
Father Paul Spellman has been a priest of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for fifteen years. Prior to entering the Seminary he spent eighteen years as a Certified Public Accountant. What led him to the Seminary was his volunteer work in the Catholic Chaplain's Program at Central Juvenile Hall in East Los Angeles, his volunteer work in the outreach program of Covenant House in Hollywood, and his serving as pro-bono treasurer for the House of Ruth in East Los Angeles, a shelter for homeless women and children established by the Sisters of Saint Joseph. As a newly ordained priest he served four years as Associate Pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption in Claremont, and in 2005 he was named Pastor of Holy Name of Jesus Church and School in South Los Angeles, where he served for nine years. In 2014 Father Paul was assigned to be our Pastor here at Saint Mark Church and School. Father Paul has a great love for Catholic Education, and enjoys visiting our school classrooms on Wednesdays and celebrating our School Masses on Fridays.
Mauricio and Myriam Silva
Myriam & Mauricio Silva has been part of the Saint Mark community for 8 years. They are the parents of two children at St. Marks school. Mauricio is a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Orthopaedic Institute for Children/UCLA where he is the Medical Director. He is also the Medical Director of its Urgent Care, and a Clinical Professor at the Department of Orthopedics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Myriam is a physician by training with a master’s in Public Health from UCLA. She currently works for Cerner Corporation performing health related research. Linda Giambrone Vaughan
Linda Giambrone Vaughan is veteran Emmy-nominated television producer and Executive Vice President of Production for NBC Entertainment/Universal Television whose credits span across many major networks and cable broadcasters for the past 25 years. She is a member of The Producers Guild of America and The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Linda was born and raised in NYC and graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Journalism and Communications. She resides in Marina Del Rey with her husband, John and their daughter, Alexandra (a.k.a Lexi) who first attended St Mark School’s TK program in 2014 and is now a proud 2nd grader.
James Zucker and Tammy Zucker have two daughters at St. Marks. James is a high school teacher and is currently teaching AP US history and AP world history at Loyola High School. He is also the Social Science department chair at Loyola High School. James attended Loyola High School and then went to Loyola Marymount where he received his Bachelor’s Degrees in history and political science. He then received his teaching credential and Masters in Arts and Teaching in Social Studies. James works for the College Board as a national reader for Advanced Placement exams. And, he instructs teachers in the Advanced Placement curriculum. Tammy Zucker went to Loyola Marymount University. She then attended UCLA where she received her PhD in immunological science. Tammy currently is a research scientist and part time teacher at UCLA for AIDs research. Both Tammy and James are members of St. Mark Parish.
Andrew Jackson and Pammela Jackson
Andrew & Pammela Jackson have been members of the St. Mark community for eight years and have three children who have attended St. Mark. Andrew was born in Los Angeles and attended USC. He is an editor and producer and has worked in many different capacities in the entertainment industry. He has his own production company, M.O.O. Productions Inc., and owns and manages a business in the Florida Keys. Pammela works as a copywriter and novelist and has been President of the Mar Vista Park Advisory Board for 8 years . They are both members of the St. Mark parish.
Christian and his wife Caroline have two children at Saint Mark School, boy/girl twins Connor and Charlotte (Charlie). Christian grew up in San Diego, attending Catholic schools for much of his academic life. He is an entertainment attorney with the boutique firm KlevanLongarzo LLP, representing studios, production companies, actors, writers and directors in television, new media and film. Christian is an avid surfer and a credentialed wine enthusiast and has recently taken up playing tennis (albeit poorly, according to Caroline).
Kevin Kelly (Marketing, Facilities, and Strategic Planning Committees; Member of the Parish Advisory Council) has been a Realtor for almost a decade with Sotheby’s International Realty both in Chicago and in Los Angeles. Prior to being a full time realtor, he was a professional actor for over 20 years performing in TV, Film, Commercials and Theater. Originally from Chicago, his wife and twins currently reside in Westchester. Their twins are currently in the 5th grade St. Mark School. Kevin had the privilege of obtaining a Catholic education, having attending Catholic schools from grammar school through high school.
Jerry Rakfeldt has lived in the Venice area since 1998 and has one daughter attending Saint. Mark School. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Jerry spent eight years in Asia after graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in business. While in Japan, he supported the global marketing efforts of Toyota Motor Corporation as one of a limited number of foreign nationals based in Tokyo, and later, managed a liaison office for Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising focused primarily on developing countries in Asia. Upon returning to the US, his focus turned to growing enterprises, from an Internet based start-up in 2000, acquiring Arthouse Marketing Group in 2007, to the formation of Spotlight Cinema Networks in 2010, where he currently serves as the CEO and managing partner.
Bridget Rohmer has been at St Marks since fall 2011. Bridget has two children at St. Mark. Bridget helped the previous administration to develop and deliver a TK program to St. Mark School. Bridget and her husband Matt, are members of the parish and very active with the school. She is head of the marketing committee of the board. Bridget heads up AMUSE, a Television/Film development company. Amuse takes content from a syndicated comic strip roster and content from a publishing company’s book group, turning them into TV/Film projects. Bridget started her career at CBS News in New York then made the move to LA in '96 where she started at Fox Television. In 2008, Saint Anne School asked Bridget to be on their board, the Saint Anne Support Council. SASSC’s mission and purpose is to provide Saint Anne School’s leadership with support in the areas of fund-raising, program development, capital improvements and enrollment. Marc Shrake and his wife Ann have three children at St. Mark School, the third of whom will graduate from the school in 2026. Marc has belonged to St. Mark Parish since 2001, the year he arrived in Los Angeles from St. Paul, Minnesota. Marc was a charter member of the St. Mark Parish Pastoral Council for four years, co-authoring the Parish's Mission Statement and developing the Parish's formal attempt to answer the Church’s call to the New Evangelization. Marc has served as president of the Los Angeles Society of St. Vincent de Paul's Social Services Advisory Committee, board member of the Good Shepherd Women's Shelter of Los Angeles, and coach, athletic director, and current president of Santa Monica PONY Baseball. Marc graduated from the College of St. Thomas (St. Paul) and The University of Chicago Law School. He has practiced law for over 25 years but hopes one day to follow in his dad's footsteps and become a teacher.
Steve has 2 children at St. Mark School. Originally from Newcastle England, Steve moved to U.S. more than 20 years ago. Steve holds the position of Vice President of Sales, marketing & business development for a private manufacturing and distribution company in the Health & Beauty Products Market. Steve also currently Co-Chairs the Planning & Land Use Committee for the Mar Vista Community Council and has done so for over 10 years. He has served on the St. Mark School Board for four years.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Ray graduated from Seton Hall University in 1975 and came to Hollywood in 1976. He has been a Producer and 1st Assistant Director for an astounding array of clients including General Motors, Mattel, NBC, Volkswagen, Toyota, Burger King, and McDonalds, to name a few. As Head of Production for Citizen Film, Ray concentrated on commercial and music video production as well as finding the time to Produce an award winning short film and a full length feature film. Ray’s career in the film business gives him a unique perspective into event production. His experience in production led to Ray heading up a unit of the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics for NBC as a broadcast manager. This experience has also led to Ray producing product reveals at international press events in Chicago and NY for Nissan and Infiniti. Ray has been Principal / CEO of Zed Ink, along with his wife Julia, since it’s inception in 2001. Zed Ink has produced and created events for Microsoft’s numerous divisions, Toyota, Amazon, Yahoo and Mercedes, to name but a few.
David Fletcher has 20 years experience in the construction and event construction industries in the UK. David and his family relocated from London, UK to Venice in October, 2015, and were blessed to secure a place in the early grades at St Mark School. They have been welcomed with open arms and feel extremely lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community. Richard and his wife, Amy have two children enrolled at St. Mark School. Richard’s background is as an Emmy winning, Royal Television Society nominated, entertainment based entrepreneur. Working with a mix of studios, networks, big brands, charities, and celebrities, Richard's passion is in helping them find their voice through the power of storytelling. Having launched a number of venture backed companies, Richard continues to sit on the board of these organizations providing strategic oversight and direction. From Fanology Social, a digital agency focused on helping people build direct relationships with their fans, through to GabBox, a second screen platform for television and film, Richard brings out of the box thinking and creative approaches to building valuable organizations.
Monica Rohleder Duffy
Monica Duffy and her husband Tim joined the St. Mark Community when their oldest daughter started TK in the Fall of 2015. Monica joins the board as a communications expert bringing over two decades of marketing and PR experience to St. Mark. After graduating from Purdue University in Indiana, Monica spent her early career at Motorola in Chicago, working in various marketing roles including sponsorship programming with partners like the NFL, X-Games and Oakley, developing carrier marketing programs and driving PR programming for the mobile device business in North America. During her 4 years as the PR lead, she helped launch the successful RAZR phone, media trained C-suite executives, represented Motorola on-camera and in print and established relationships with top national and local press. Since 2006, Monica has run her own consulting PR business, working with a variety of clients and organizations including Dolby, (RED), Pong, Nature Rocks and Surfrider. As a passionate member of the St. Mark community, Monica will focus on developing a communications strategy to help promote St. Mark as an educational leader in Los Angeles and the broader Catholic Community. Originally from Chicago, Monica moved to Los Angeles in 2007 where she fell in love with the sunny weather and the laid back vibe. The Duffy family are avid travelers, jumping on planes to visit family in Chicago, Denver and Hawaii. When at home, they love swimming, visiting with friends, bowling, going to dinner and watching movies in their home theater built by dad.
Haley Ludwigson (’09), CFA, most recently served as the Executive Director of UCLA Anderson’s Fink Center for Finance & Investments. She has ten years of experience working in investment management and investment banking. Before Anderson, she was a Vice President and Account Manager for PIMCO in their Newport Beach and London offices. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2009, she worked in real estate syndications at Bank of America Securities. Previously, Mrs. Ludwigson was a portfolio management analyst focused on corporate real estate at Bank of America. She holds an MBA (with a concentration in finance) from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and an undergraduate degree in business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is married to Carl Ludwigson and lives in Mar Vista with their two children, Taylor and Sienna.
