Field Trips & Outdoor Education

St. Mark students are engaged in rich out of the classroom experiences each year. Field trips off campus afford students many opportunities to expand on what they have learned and experience the “classroom” in local museums, fire stations, parks and cultural centers.  Traveling via public transit is more and more the norm for St. Mark students due to the availability of both bus and light rail transit (TAP cards) relatively located to St. Mark School.  In the past year field trips to the following sites in and around Los Angeles:

Astro Camp (3 day overnight trip for the 5th and 6th Grade)
California Mission San Juan Capistrano
Catalina Environmental Leadership Program (3 day overnight trip for 7th and 8th Grade)

Long Beach Aquarium
Los Angeles Zoo
Museum of Tolerance
Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral
Science Center/Natural History Museum/IMAX movie complex
